聖言中學頒獎典禮 Sing Yin Secondary School Prize Giving Ceremony 2025

聖言中學二零二五至二六年度上學期頒獎典禮已於十二月十二日（星期五）假本校禮堂舉行。是次典禮非常榮幸邀請到香港中學校長會前主席 葉錦元先生擔任主禮嘉賓，其他嘉賓包括校監張神父、列位校董、許校長、家長教師會主席、校友會主席、以及三位副校長。

是次頒獎典禮共頒發逾百多個獎項，其中傑出校友獎由李沛強先生獲得。李先生為聖言中學首屆畢業生，畢業後李先生回母校執教，擔任化學科主任，更兼任學生會顧問委員會主席。在母校服務27年後，李先生仍以不同身份參與推動母校教育發展的工作。2009年協助創立聖言中學教育基金，2013-17年間出任校友會副主席，2021-25年間出入校友校董之職。李校友心繫母校，以行動貢獻己力，擔當成先啟後、薪火相傳的角色，盡顯「克明峻德」的核心價值，培育師弟們成為德才兼備的社會棟樑。

除此之外，本校學生於學術、音樂、體育等方面均有卓越表現。4D和4C班分別在香港學校朗誦節英詩習誦取得第一和第二名；管樂團、弦樂團再度獲得聯校音樂大賽金獎；本校與九龍真光中學聯校合唱團於香港校際合唱節中奪得銀獎；戲劇學會於全港學界防騙話劇邀請賽中獲得冠軍；跳繩學會獲得全港校際花式跳繩錦標中學組表演杯冠軍。

為表揚於體育方面取得突破成績之同學，本年之傑出運動員分別為中三張永希同學及中六鍾德澤同學。張同學均在足球隊和手球學會效力，協助取得優異成績；而鍾同學於校際田徑比賽奪得甲組1500米及5000米冠軍、校際越野比賽甲組冠軍，去年更取得香港青少年田徑分齡賽U18 3000米冠軍，刷新U18香港紀錄，實至名歸。

至於學術方面，全年總成績第一名的同學分別是中一級羅崇哲、中二級陳挺俊、中三級葉育嘉、中四級戴家熙、中五級阮卓峰。恭喜以上各得獎者。

獎項頒發完畢後，有本校舞蹈學會帶來精彩演出，獲得亞洲舞蹈2025街舞/韓流舞/嘻哈舞銀獎後繼續綻放光彩；管樂團的演出令人沉醉於音韻當中，亦演出校歌作頒獎典禮的完滿收結。

最後，嘉賓、來賓以及同學起立，在管樂團的演奏下同唱校歌，頒獎典禮在朗朗的校歌聲中落幕。再次感謝各位來賓撥冗出席，亦恭喜所有得獎者。以上獎項未能盡錄，期望同學們能繼續發揮所長，不論是在校內還是校外都能獲得更多的獎項及榮譽。

The 2025-2026 First Term Prize Giving Ceremony of Sing Yin Secondary School took place on 12 December in the school hall. Government Chemist Dr Lee Wai On graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Other guests included our school supervisor, Fr. Johnson, members of the Incorporated Management Committee, Principal Hui, the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association, the Vice-Chairman of the Alumni Association, and the Vice-Principals.

Over 100 awards were presented during the ceremony. Notably, Mr Lee Pui-keung, graduate of the inaugural cohort of Sing Yin, received the Outstanding Alumni Award. Upon graduation, Mr Lee returned to teach for 27 years until 2007, eventually serving not only as the Head of the Chemistry Department, but also as the adviser of the Students' Association. After that, he continued to contribute to the advancement of Sing Yin in various capacities. In 2009, he assisted in establishing the Sing Yin Secondary School Education Foundation. From 2013 to 2017, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Alumni Association, and from 2021 to 2025, he held the position of Alumni Manager of the Incorporated Management Committee. His commitment plays a leading role in passing on the torch and embodies the school motto, “Being able to manifest one's highest mortality,” making him a role model with both moral integrity and talent for all students.

Our students excelled in academics, music and sports. Classes 4D and 4C won the First and Second Places respectively in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. The Brass Band and String Orchestra secured Gold Awards in the Joint School Music Competition. The School Choir won Silver Awards at several competitions. The Drama Club won the Champion in the Hong Kong Schools Anti-Deception Drama Competition. The Rope Skipping Club won the Champion in the Demo Cup at the Hong Kong Inter-School Rope Skipping Competition.

To honour our top athletes, the Outstanding Athlete of the Year award was presented to Cheung Wing Hei from Form 3 and Chung Tak Chal from Form 6. Cheung played for both the Football Team and the Handball Club, helping them achieve excellent results. Chung excelled in multiple events, including winning the Champion in A Grade 1500m and 5000m at the Inter-school Athletics Competition, the Champion in A Grade in the Inter-school Cross Country Competition, and the Champion in U18 3000m at the HVAA Hong Kong Age Group Athletic Meet last year, breaking the U18 Hong Kong Record.

Academically, the top students in each form include Law Sung Chit (F1), Chan Ting Chun (F2), Ye Yujia (F3), Tai Ka Hay Calvin (F4) and Yuen Cheuk Fung (F5). Congratulations to them.

Following the award presentations, our school's Dance Club, after winning the Silver Award in the Street Dance/ K-Pop/ Hip Hop group in ASAA Dance Cup, gave a superb performance. The Brass Band also delivered a brilliant performance and performed the school song, concluding the ceremony on a high note.

As the guests and students rose and sang the school song together, the ceremony came to an end. Once again, we would like to thank all the guests for attending the ceremony and congratulate all the winners. The above awards are not exhaustive. We hope that our students will continue to make the best of their talents both within and beyond the school.
