二零二三至二零二四年度畢業典禮 The Graduation Ceremony 2023-2024
聖言中學二零二三至二零二四年度畢業典禮於五月二十四日（星期五）假本校禮堂舉行。是次典禮有幸邀請校友胡發枝先生擔任主禮嘉賓。胡先生致辭時贈予一眾畢業生三個「錦囊」：自信、努力、品格好，希望各位畢業生能創出一片天。
校方在是次典禮頒發了傑出家長獎，本年度得獎者為中六戊班陳慶源家長陳豐南先生。陳先生曾多次出任家教會家長委員，勤與校方聯繫，亦樂於聆聽孩子心聲，獲獎實至名歸。
其後，校方頒發了克明峻德獎、各項獎學金及畢業證書，並由五位畢業生代表致畢業辭。他們非常感謝各位老師的悉心栽培，使得各位聖言仔能在護蔭下各展所長。校方還有幸邀請曾於聖言任教化學科長達二十七年的舊生——李沛強大師兄分享過往點滴。
最後，本校管樂團獻上精彩表演，畢業典禮以朗朗的校歌聲作結。這是畢業生最後一次站於禮堂詠唱校歌，相信各位必定會銘記在心。祝願各位畢業生鵬程萬里，創造屬於自己的精彩人生。
The 2023-2024 Graduation Ceremony of Sing Yin Secondary School was held on May 24 (Friday) in the school hall.
We were privileged to have our alumnus, Mr. Wu Fat Chi, as our guest of honour. Mr. Wu gave the graduates three pieces of advice: confidence, hard work and good character, hoping that the graduates could create a new horizon for themselves.
The Outstanding Parent Award was presented to Mr. Chen Fengnan, the parent of Chen Qingyuan of 6E. Mr. Chen has served as a parent committee member of the PTA several times and has been a diligent liaison with the school and a willingness to listen to his child's heartfelt wishes, which made him a worthy recipient of the award.
Afterwards, the Award of Prudence, various scholarships and graduation certificates were presented, and five graduate representatives delivered graduation speeches. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their meticulous nurturing, which has enabled Sing Yin boys to develop their strengths under their guidance. We were also honoured to invite Mr. Lee Pui Keung, a former student who has taught Chemistry at Sing Yin for 27 years, to share his past experiences.
The graduation ceremony concluded with the school song performed by the school's brass band. This marked the last time that the graduates stood in the hall and sang the school song, and it is surely something that will be engraved in their hearts. May all graduates have a prosperous future and create a splendid life of their own!
聖言物理奧林匹克 2023-24 Sing Yin Physics Olympiad 2023-24
聖言物理奧林匹克 2023-24 於2024年5月15日（星期三）順利舉行，有來自31所學校的200多名參賽者。我們很榮幸邀請到香港城市大學黃崇清教授擔任我們的榮譽演講嘉賓，他就「揭開重力的祕密：踏入黑洞的深淵之旅」主題發表了一場有趣的物理學演講。恭喜所有獲獎者！
Sing Yin Physics Olympiad 2023-24 was successfully held on 15th May 2024 (Wed), with more than 200 participants from 31 schools. We are honoured to have Prof. Sung Ching Sam Wong from City University of Hong Kong, as our honourable guest speaker. He presented an interesting Physics Talk on the topic 'Gravity's Secrets Unveiled: A Journey into the Abyss of Black Holes'. Congratulations to all winners!
中六最後⼀個上課⽇及畢業祈禱會 Last school day and Graduation Prayer Meeting for F6
本校中六同學離校在即，校方於他們最後上課日舉行了簡單而隆重的中六畢業祈禱禮儀，由校監張明德神父主禮及張興灝神父共禮。每位中六同學經過六年的校園生活，在禮儀結束前逐一領受神父的覆手祝福，並接受學校為其準備的畢業證書封套。感人的氣氛彌漫著整個禮堂。
張明德神父引用禮儀福音中「鹽與光」的比喻，勉勵同學離開校園後要實行耶穌對門徒的教導，成為地上的鹽，世界的光，活出鹽和光的特質。鹽要有鹹味，才能發揮其功效；而光要照亮身邊的人，使其他人都能感覺到光所發出的熱力。神父提醒同學要保持自己的優良特質，樂於助人，持守信念，關心身邊的人，活出校訓「克明峻德」的精神。同學亦要分辨善惡，貢獻社會，照耀世人，世界才會變得越來越好。
禮儀結束後，同學返回自己的課室與老師及同學作校園內的最後話別，互相勉勵。
Our Form 6 students participated in a Graduation Prayer Meeting on their last school day, 27th of February. The ceremony was officiated by the School Supervisor, Fr. Johnson and co-officiated by Fr. John. They lay hands in blessing the boys. The graduates also received a Graduation Certificate Cover from the school as a souvenir.
Fr. Johnson quoted the biblical parable of ‘light and salt’ while he encouraged students to practice the teachings of Jesus, so that they will become the salt of the earth and the light of the world, and live out the characteristics of salt and light. Salt must be salty in order to exert its effect; and light must be illuminating so that others can feel the heat. Fr. Johnson reminded the students to maintain their good qualities. They should be willing to help others, keep their faith, and care about others around them, and live out the school motto, that is, being able to manifest one’s highest morality (「克明峻德」), thus creating a better world.
Subsequent to the ceremony, the boys returned to their home room and farewell with their teachers and fellow classmates. We wish them all the best and a bright future.
聖言中學家居節能比賽 Household Energy-saving Competition
本年度舉辦的家居節能比賽已經順利完成。是次比賽，旨在鼓勵同學和家庭成員，透過籌劃各種家居節能的方案，積極減少電能消耗，以行動開啟綠色生活。
The Household Energy-saving Competition has been successfully held this year. This competition aims at encouraging students and their family members to save energy and start a green living with action through formulating various household energy-saving plans.
