聖言中學陸運會 2023-2024 Sing Yin Secondary School Sports Day 2023-2024
本年度陸運會已於九龍灣運動場順利舉行。四社的運動健兒不但在比賽場上各展所長，亦全力以赴為社爭取分數。
在為期兩日的陸運會中，除了各項田項、徑項比賽及中六畢業跑等項目，亦舉行了最受關注的社際接力賽。在社際接力賽進行得如火如荼時，看台上四社的啦啦隊亦不忘為自己所屬的社打氣。最終，4x100米社際接力的乙組和丙組冠軍由紅社奪得，藍社奪得甲組冠軍。相反，4x400米社際接力的乙組和丙組冠軍均由藍社奪得，甲組冠軍則由紅社奪得。
本年度陸運會亦作出創新嘗試，於比賽結束後加入啦啦隊表演環節。四社的啦啦隊均為是次表演出盡心力，配上音樂、打氣物資，以澎湃的氣勢展現出對運動員的支持和鼓勵。經過一眾老師評審後，黃社取得啦啦隊冠軍。而社全場總冠軍亦同樣由積分最高的黃社奪得，恭喜黃社。
至於個人全場總冠軍的獲獎同學，丙組為2B張永希、乙組為4A李樂謙、甲組則由6C方嘉橋和唐智毅同學共同獲得，恭喜以上得獎者。
是次陸運會展現了聖言仔不屈不撓、勇於拼搏的體育精神，亦可見各社的師兄師弟上下一心。恭喜所有得獎同學及社，亦感謝老師和工作人員為陸運會作出莫大貢獻。期待同學明年能於陸運會上再次揮灑熱血，勇奪佳績！
This year's Sports Day was successfully held at Kowloon Bay Sports Ground. The athletes of the four houses not only showed their strengths and outstanding abilities on the field, but also did their best to earn points for their respective houses.
In the two-day event, apart from the usual track and field competitions and the Form 6 Graduation Run, the most popular inter-house relay race was also held. While the inter-house relay race was in full swing, the cheer teams of the four houses on the stand didn’t forget to cheer for their respective houses. At the end of the day, the B Grade and C Grade 4x100m Relays were won by Red House, while the champion of the A Grade race belongs to Blue House. On the other hand, Blue House came first in the B Grade and C Grade 4x400m Relays, while the trophy of the A Grade race was awarded to Red House.
In this year’s Sports Day, an innovative attempt was made to include a cheering performance at the end of the competition. Cheer teams from all four houses showed their utmost support and encouragement to the athletes by performing with music, dances and cheering materials. After being judged by teachers, Yellow House was awarded the champion of the cheering competition. The overall champion of the whole event was also attained by Yellow House with the highest number of points, congratulations to Yellow House.
As for the Individual Champions, 2B Cheung Wing Hei for C Grade, 4A Lee Lok Him for B Grade, and 6C Fong Ka Kiu and Tong Chi Ngai for A Grade. Congratulations to the above winners.
This year's Sports Day demonstrated the indomitable and courageous sports spirit of Sing Yin students, as well as the unity of our houses. We would like to congratulate all the winners and houses, and would like to thank the teachers and staff for their substantial contribution to the event. We look forward to seeing our students again on the Sports Day next year!
學生會選舉及就職典禮 Students' Association Election and Inauguration Ceremony
2023至2024年的學生會選舉於9月20日至22日舉行。今年共有三個候選內閣參與，分別為一號內閣Bonfire，二號內閣Zephyr和三號內閣Helios。
三個學生會候選內閣在9月20日的政綱大會上，向同學們介紹著自己的理念與展示為學校為同學服務的決心。
投票日緊隨在9月21日於禮堂舉行，近百位同學在放學後齊集禮堂出席點票環節，歷經緊張的唱票程序後，一號內閣最終Bonfire以261票成功當選，成為聖言新一屆的學生會。
9月22日，學生會Pharos在進行了年度總結報告後，正式進行交接儀式，把這項重任交托在Bonfire的手上。除此之外，新一屆的風紀員亦在授章典禮上，與上屆的風紀員順利交接，與Bonfire一起攜手開啟聖言中學嶄新的一年。
The 2023-2024 Student Association Election was held from the 20th to the 22nd of September. This year, a total of 3 cabinets participated in the election, they are Cabinet 1 Bonfire, Cabinet 2 Zephyr, and Cabinet 3 Helios respectively.
During the S.A. Campaign Speech on September 20th, the three cabinets presented their ideologies and commitment to securing the rights and privileges of students.
The voting took place in the school hall on the next day. After school, over a hundred students gathered around in the school hall to oversee the vote counting. After a nerve-wracking and tense session, Cabinet 1, Bonfire, has secured the top place at 261 votes, becoming the next Student Association of Sing Yin.
In the Annual General Meeting of S.A. on September 22nd, the former Student Association, Pharos, started the transition of the S.A. office, handing over the duties of the S.A. office to Bonfire. In addition, the former Prefects have smoothly transitioned to the new Prefects during the Prefect Inauguration. Together with Bonfire, they opened a brand-new and thrilling year for Sing Yin.
聖言會創會紀念感恩禮儀 Divine Word Missionaries Foundation Day Prayer Meeting
聖言會於1875年9月8日聖母誕辰瞻禮日成立。為慶祝創會148周年，本校於9月7日舉行了創會紀念感恩禮儀，由澳門聖若瑟大學副教授聖言會範聖言神父 （Rev. Franz Gassner SVD）主禮，校監張明德神父及宋永恩神父共禮。全體師生到禮堂參與，共沐主恩。
在禮儀中，範神父指出同學在學校內學到很多不同的學科，如語文、數學、地理、歷史、科學等，而這些學科均與天父有著不同的關係，萬物是藉著祂而造成的。他提醒同學聖言就是耶穌基督的話，我們也應該常對人說著好的話，為人類帶來希望，向他人發放正能量。聖言會現有大約6000名傳教士及4000名傳教修女背負著傳教的使命，向世界80個不同國家及地區傳揚福音，說好的話。
另外，學校於9月4日開學日舉行開學祈禱禮儀，由校監張明德神父主禮。為配合今年學校的關注事項「天主教教育五大核心價值的實踐」，禮儀中特別選用了瑪竇福音「凡你們對我這些最小兄弟中的一個所做的，就是對我做的。」一節，提醒同學要對弱者施予關懷，活出仁愛的精神。
The Society of the Divine Word was founded on September 8, 1875, the feast day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To celebrate the 148th anniversary of the founding of the Society, a thanksgiving ceremony was held on September 7, officiated by Rev. Franz Gassner SVD, Associate Professor at University of St. Joseph in Macau, and co-celebrated by School Supervisors Fr. Johnson and Fr. Natalius. All pupils and teachers gathered in the hall to receive the blessings of God.
During the ceremony, Fr. Franz pointed out students learn many different subjects in school, such as language, mathematics, geography, history, science, etc., and that all these subjects have a different relationship with God, through whom all things are made. He reminded students that the Word is the word of Jesus Christ, and that we should always say good words to people, bring hope to mankind and spread positive energy to others. The Society of the Divine Word currently has about 6,000 missionaries and 4,000 missionary sisters who carry out the missionary duty of spreading the Gospel and saying what’s good and true in 80 different countries and regions in the world.
In addition, the school held a prayer on September 4, the first day of the school year, which was officiated by School Supervisor, Fr. Johnson. In line with one of the school's major concern this year, ""Putting the Five Core Values of Catholic Education into action"", the Gospel of Matthew, ""Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me"", was used in the prayer to remind the students of the importance of caring those in need and to live a spirit of love and benevolence.
聖言物理奧林匹克 Sing Yin Physics Olympiad 2022-23
聖言物理奧林匹克 2022-23 於2023年4月16日（星期日）成功舉行，有來自28所學校的200多名參賽者。我們很榮幸邀請到香港物理奧林匹克委員會主席李贊恒教授擔任我們的榮譽演講嘉賓，他就「隱形斗篷的物理學」主題發表了一場有趣的物理學演講。恭喜所有獲獎者！
Sing Yin Physics Olympiad 2022-23 was successfully held on 16th April 2023 (Sun), with more than 200 participants from 28 schools. We are honoured to have Prof. Li Jensen Tsan Hang, the Chairman of Hong Kong Physics Olympiad Committee, as our honourable guest speaker. He presented an interesting Physics Talk on the topic 'The Physics of Invisibility Cloak'. Congratulations to all winners!
